In The News
"The nuanced exhibition draws a portrait of the Bronx itself, partly because of Wave Hill’s bucolic setting, a meditative space to reflect on waste, ecology and urban space, with unobstructed views of the Hudson that frame the river with trees so that you’ll forget a highway runs in between."
"During the cold months, when I’m starved for color, I head to Wave Hill and the New York Botanical Garden, two great Bronx public gardens with greenhouses."
"This Family Art Project at Wave Hill will have kids (and their caretakers) make a one-of-a-kind nicho box. These traditional Mexican shadow boxes will be decorated with natural material and found objects, and will house memories of a loved one who has passed."
"Summer isn’t alone in taking flight these days: Monarch butterflies are migrating to Mexico, bees continue to forage for nectar and pollen, and many birds have begun to wing their way south. Wave Hill, a 28-acre public garden, celebrates all of these creatures during Bees, Butterflies & Blooms Weekend."
"There’s some serious foliage to behold in the other boroughs...A leisurely fall stroll through the gardens of Wave Hill in The Bronx will take your breath away as you gaze across the Hudson River and are met with sweeping views of the Palisades."
"NYC Parks says the typical timeline of when these trees hit their peak autumn colors can vary, depending on weather, both in fall and earlier in the growing season...Either way, you’ll be sure to find incredible colors at these NYC locations, including in Central Park, Wave Hill and Alley Pond Park."
"The Wave Hill Public Garden is also in the Bronx and also full of wonderful events like family art projects and Butterfly Garden Walks. There are so many events your family will love!
